Guildprime
How something is built matters as much as what it looks like.

Guildprime delivered the construction and joinery for the Hotel Room of the Future, working closely with Harp Design to ensure the room could be built, dismantled, transported, and reused rather than written off as a temporary exhibition install.
From the outset, the build was approached as a system, not a one-off. Joinery elements, panels, and interfaces were designed to come apart cleanly, travel safely, and be reassembled elsewhere without loss of quality or unnecessary waste. Following the exhibition, key elements of the room will return to The Interior Design Podcast studio, extending material life and avoiding the typical fate of exhibition builds.
This approach reflects Guildprime’s wider expertise in complex commercial builds, where sequencing, logistics, coordination, and build methodology are just as critical as finishes. It demonstrates how construction thinking can actively support sustainability — not as an add-on, but as part of the delivery strategy.
What this matters for hotel owners
-
For hotel owners, construction decisions directly affect cost, downtime, waste, and long-term value. Guildprime’s approach demonstrates how smarter build strategies can deliver measurable benefits:
-
Reduced construction waste through joinery and build systems designed for disassembly rather than demolition
-
Smarter temporary and phased installations, ideal for refurbishments where hotels must remain operational
-
Reusable and adaptable joinery, allowing components to be modified or relocated rather than replaced
-
Improved programme control, reducing overruns caused by inefficient sequencing or rework
-
Long-term asset thinking, where materials and components are treated as investments, not consumables
-
Rather than focusing solely on finishes, this approach looks at how buildings are actually put together — and how that affects operational reality over time.
Part of the Hotel Room of the Future
Guildprime demonstrates seamlessly how construction methodology can support sustainability beyond specification, showing that better outcomes come from thinking about build, logistics, and lifecycle from the very beginning.
