Luxury hospitality inspired by nature.
Beyond Escapes is an award-winning luxury holiday resort in the heart of the Devon countryside, designed to offer guests a place to relax, reconnect and escape everyday life.
Harp Design was appointed to create the interior architecture and design for the resort's leisure facilities and luxury accommodation. Our brief was to deliver a contemporary hospitality experience that reflected the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape while creating memorable spaces that guests would want to return to.
Inspired by the colours, textures and tranquillity of Devon, we developed a design centred around wellbeing, comfort and understated luxury. Natural materials, warm timber finishes, layered lighting and tactile fabrics were carefully combined to create calm, welcoming interiors that seamlessly connected with the outdoors.
From the guest arrival experience through to the restaurant, bar, leisure facilities and accommodation, every element was thoughtfully considered to enhance the customer journey. Bespoke joinery, carefully curated finishes and functional layouts ensured the spaces were not only beautiful but practical, durable and commercially successful.
The result is a timeless destination that continues to provide guests with an exceptional hospitality experience while demonstrating how thoughtful design can elevate both guest satisfaction and long-term commercial value.

Rather than designing a conventional holiday resort, we focused on creating a destination that encourages guests to slow down, unwind and reconnect with nature. Every design decision was made to support wellbeing while delivering a refined, commercially viable hospitality environment that would stand the test of time.
